The International GT racing series roared into Georgia’s Road Atlanta motorsports complex March 24-26, and Isringhausen Motorsports was there! Geoff Isringhausen, Jr., driving the No. 181 Goldcrest Motorsports/Isringhausen Motorsports car, notched an impressive victory in the Cayman 3.8 liter class. He also clocked the fastest time in his class during the endurance race: 1:29:59.
International GT is a North American racing series that includes three different championships for late-model Porsche and Ferrari competitors. The series competes at the continent’s premier road courses, including Sebring, Daytona, Road Atlanta, and many more.
Geoff Jr. drove a powerful 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, a 425 hp mid-engine race car known for its lightweight body and well-balanced performance. Speeds approached 200 mph as Geoff Jr. and his fellow racers navigated the 12-turn, 2.54-mile road course, located 35 miles north of Atlanta.
Geoff Jr. is no stranger to victory lane, having placed first in his class at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, last November.
