2014 Porsche 997 GT3 R

We are proud to offer this extremely rare and beautiful 997 GT3 R race car. Porsche stopped making the 997 street cars with the 2012 model year. People familiar with Porsche race vehicles are generally aware that a few 2013 997.2 GT3 Cup cars were built. But very few Porsche enthusiasts are aware that for the 2014 model year, five 997 vehicles were made for international FIA GT3 race series – the 997 GT3 R. 

This rarest of the well regarded 997 series cars may also be the best looking. The wide stance, fat tires, air ducts on front fenders and behind rear wheels all lend to a very serious appearing machine. This example was bought new from Porsche Motorsports North America and remained in the original owners hands up until out acquisition in late 2022. Our passion for Porsche race cars made it impossible to resist. In our race vehicle display area this car always is the show stopper. Most have never seen rear fenders this wide and it is universally captivating. With only 6267 kilometers from new and 13 hours on the PMNA supplied replacement engine this car is in excellent condition. Never an off track incident or bumped in any way. All original body parts and sheet metal. The 997 GT3 R evo, as it might be called as it evolved from the earlier release in 2010, comes equipped from the factory with a paddle shift system to preserve the gearbox and make faster and safer shifts.

These cars also came from the factory with ABS and Traction Control. Along with the highly adjustable suspension the 997 R is fun, fast and easy for the gentleman racer to handle.
