Porsche Sets 2027 Sprint & Endurance Plans

Porsche Motorsport North America has locked in the 2027 Porsche Sprint & Endurance Challenge North America by Yokohama schedules, delivering the series’ most ambitious calendar yet. Sprint Challenge expands to eight rounds, highlighted by the addition of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and a welcome return to Watkins Glen International—two circuits that fit perfectly into the program’s growing national footprint.

The upcoming season also becomes the first chance for competitors to run the new Porsche 911 Cup (Type 992.2) in Sprint & Endurance Challenge. After debuting in Carrera Cup North America this year, the 992.2 Cup car will be eligible and available to customer teams across both series, giving drivers access to Porsche’s latest-generation Cup machinery. Existing platforms—the 992.1‑generation 911 GT3 Cup and 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport—remain fully eligible, ensuring a broad and competitive multi‑class grid.

Sprint Challenge introduces a refined championship structure for 2027 with a best‑14‑of‑16‑races scoring format, allowing competitors to drop their two lowest results. Porsche also confirmed that entry fees will remain unchanged for the third straight season, with full‑season entrants continuing to receive enhanced benefits.
